Spring Preview 2013

Hi Ladies!

As promised, here is a sneak preview of what is to come for Spring 2013!  Here are the 7 new styles, and a brief description of the Muses who inspired them!

The Sam Style;  She has gorgeous, strong legs and a dark complexion. Sam has a striking look, this dress was designed for a courageous, go-getter with her own very unique style.

The Leona Style; Class all the way, Leona has a very elegant strength that makes me think of Princess Kate.  The Peplum is key with this piece, and the puff sleeves give the style a feminine look.

The Britt Style;  My lovely Britt has a warm heart and a clever mind; this is a style that is very flirty and sexy without being outwardly provocative.

The Julia Style;  Clever, fearless and confident Julia.  She loves to have fun and is not afraid to laugh at herself.  She looks gorgeous in red!

The Natalie Style;  Sweet, lovely Natalie.  Always the first to help and love unconditionally.  She is a bit shy, but when she enters a room she radiates warmth and a natural beauty.

The Alana Style;  I imagine Alana in a 1920's, with a feathers in her hair and a glass of expensive champaign.  Her style is wonderfully nostalgic, classic and entirely her own.

The Lee Style;  A city girl, who loves to accessorize.  Scarves, hats, gloves, jewelry.  Lee loves the basics so that she can play with layers of self expression.

And there you have it!!  I hope that you like what you see for summer!!  I am very excited to get these pieces into more boutiques this year.  Be sure to check the website for our newest locations!  And a friendly reminder that we sell Muse Dresses at Not Just Pretty Boutique on Fort Street.

HAVE A VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY FROM MUSE

Essential Elements of Style

Hello Ladies!

Well, it has been way too long since my last post; I have much to share..

I have been busier than ever lately it seems. Last month on Sunday, October 14th was the Essential Elements of Style Fashion Show here in Victoria B.C at the Atrium.  All proceeds from the show went to support women's breast cancer; it was a huge success with over 200 guests in attendance.  The whole experience was truly remarkable; here are some highlights of the show...

This particular dress, the Blythe Style in pink was auctioned off for the event.  I am very pleased with the fall styles; come and check them out at Not Just Pretty Boutique in Victoria BC.

I have been busy lately with a photo shoot.  I am delighted with this particular shoot; I love the lifestyle shots and will be sure to post them as soon as they are ready.  I have discovered that the dresses are best shown in motion.

I am also completing the spring collection; they are styles #21, 22, and 23!  I have been influenced lately by Lee McQueen and the flapper dresses of the 1920's.

The new styles are named after Muses Alana, Natalie and Julia.  They are my cousins and completely suit each style named affectionately after them.

Love and blessings ladies; hope that you are all loving life!

I am very excited to post a sneak preview of the newest Muse Styles; Watch for them!!

Photo Shoots and Fashion Shows

Hello Ladies!

I have been a very busy bird with photo shoots and fashion shows on my plate for the past two weeks, whew!  I am thrilled to announce that Not Just Pretty, a fabulous eco fashion boutique will be carrying my line of dresses by mid May!  They are located at 136 Fort Street, here in Victoria.

I want to share with all of you, some photos of my recent photo shoot with the talented photographer, Leona Fowler.  Working with her has been a wonderful experience, to work with such a talented professional has been so rewarding!

My last fashion show was last Saturday, April 14th at Temple Events.  It was an evening reception gathering for the Breathe Now women's conference, with Bif Naked as a key note speaker.  It was a very special conference, celebrating being a women, taking time to network, and feel empowered; amazing!

My next fashion show is this coming Saturday,  April 21st.  This is for the Creatively United for the Planet Festival.  This is a three day fun filled event benefiting charities doing hero work in our communities.  The renowned local painter, Robert Bateman will be a keynote speaker for this festival!!

http://creativelyunitedfortheplanet.com/  I hope to see you all there!!

This has been an exciting year for Muse Clothing Company so far, every other great thing that happens will be icing on the cake!

The Danika Style Sneak Preview

Hello lovely ladies!

Happy New Year to you all!  I am looking out my window at snow here in Victoria B.C, we are experiencing the first signs of winter that we have had all year!  It's beautiful to look at, but getting into it feels like standing inside a freezer!

I have a growing appreciation for all of the seasons, winter included.  It is a wonderful time for cozy nights by the fire, great books, hot baths, and culinary arts using root veggies.  I have been enjoying many dinner parties over the holiday!  There is much to love about winter after all!

I am pleased to introduce the Danika Style.  It is the first dress that I have created with pockets.  I decided on burgundy, as I think that it lends itself well to the flirty sophistication of the style.  I  have dressed it up with my winter boots and some funky tights for a fun winter look!
